The 10.5cm leFH18 howitzers of German artillery batteries can lay down a formidable amount of firepower; smashing defensive positions ahead of the infantry assault. Should the German lines be overrun, those artillery pieces fire over open sights as anti-tank guns. In this role they are capable of stopping even the heaviest enemy tanks.

The Light Artillery Battery in North Africa
The Afrika Division zbV had limited artillery, including the 2nd Battalion of the 155th Artillery Regiment and Artillerie Abteilung 361. Each had three artillery batteries of 10.5cm leFH18 howitzers.

However, the division was well-supported by the heavy guns of the independent artillery regiments of Artillerie Kommando 104.
